MEDITATIONS

In Hungry Ghosts United we know that meditation is essential to our recovery. The meditations used in our addiction recovery practice have been developed by Hungry Ghosts United to interrupt the cycle of addictive craving. We have found through our years of experience working with people seeking to end their addiction, that our meditations, as a part of a Hungry Ghosts United daily recovery practice, can be the missing link to a lasting recovery.

Find a place to sit where you will not be interrupted for 20 minutes. You can sit in meditation anywhere. You do not need a meditation cushion or a dedicated space. You can sit in a chair or on the floor. Simply find a posture that is upright with a straight spine. Try to be relaxed and alert. Silence your calls and notifications and don’t look at your phone until the meditation is over!

The meditations in this area have been recorded by members of Hungry Ghosts United for your benefit. We will be adding more versions for each of the ten meditations in our meditation handbook. Find voices you like and know that more member led meditations will be available here as our recovery society grows.
